Data we collect

When you use Prompt Reverser, we may collect the following data:

• Uploaded images – processed server-side for AI analysis. Images are not stored permanently; only a SHA-256 hash is used for caching.
• Image URL selected via Chrome extension – when you click the extension button/context menu, the selected image URL is used to open Prompt Reverser and run analysis. We process this URL only to retrieve the selected image and perform the requested analysis.
• Usage data – anonymous analytics (views, events) collected via Google Analytics to improve the service.
• Technical data – IP address, browser type, and operating system collected automatically by the hosting infrastructure.

Chrome extension data handling

The PromptReverser Chrome extension is limited to helping you send a user-selected image to Prompt Reverser for analysis.

• Purpose limitation – we do not use extension data for unrelated profiling, advertising, or resale.
• Permissions in use – the extension uses context menu, tab opening, and host access needed to detect clicked/hovered images and fetch the selected image for analysis.
• Data not collected – the extension does not collect page text, form fields, passwords, or browsing history for independent analytics.

Purpose and legal basis

We process your data for the following purposes:

• Service delivery – analyzing uploaded images and returning prompt-related data (legal basis: performance of the requested service).
• Analytics – understanding usage patterns and improving the product with Google Analytics, activated only after your consent where required by applicable law (legal basis: consent).

Third-party services

Prompt Reverser uses the following third-party services that may process personal data:

• Google Fonts – the site uses the font families Poppins, Montserrat, Metrophobic, and Potta One sourced from Google Fonts and integrated locally via Next.js (`next/font`). Font files are served directly by Prompt Reverser, so visiting the site does not trigger a direct request from your browser to Google for font delivery. See Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini API – for AI image analysis. Uploaded images are sent to Google servers for processing. See Google AI Terms.
• Google Analytics – for anonymous usage statistics. See Google Privacy Policy.
• Supabase – for optional authentication and data caching. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Vercel – for hosting and deployment infrastructure. See Vercel Privacy Policy.

Cookie

This website uses cookies and similar technologies:

• Essential cookies – required for website operation (e.g. session management).
• Analytics cookies – set by Google Analytics to measure site usage.

Data retention

Uploaded images are processed in real time and are not retained after analysis completes. Cached results (linked to an image hash, not the image itself) may be retained to improve performance. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default policies.

• Access your personal data.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.
• Data portability.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
